If you’re considering semi permanent makeup, also known as micropigmentation, you’re probably wondering what kind of results you can expect. Will it look natural? How long will it last?
In general, semi permanent makeup will give you a much more natural result than traditional permanent makeup. The pigments used in semi permanent makeup are finer and more delicate than those used in traditional tattooing, allowing for a more subtle effect. It’s no secret that one of the most popular beauty trends is to have perfect, long lasting makeup. However, many women are finding it difficult to achieve this look without resorting to semi permanent makeup. This type of makeup can give you the natural result of permanent makeup, without the commitment or side effects. Here are a few tips on how to achieve long-lasting, natural-looking results with semi permanent makeup:
Choose a reputable technician- This is probably the most important factor in achieving natural-looking results. First, find a reputable technician who has experience with the procedure, can explain you about the treatment, use safe pigment and is fully licensed.
Second, be sure to communicate your expectations clearly to the technician. If you have any photos of the result you wish to have remembered to show it before the procedure. Listen also to what is best for your skin, as not all types of skin are absorbing well color. Good PMU Artist will suggest what is best for you and explain difference between each technique.
Third, take care of your skin before and after the procedure. Well-hydrated skin will absorb color faster and keep longer nice and fresh. That is why aftercare is super important before and after. Remember to clean your skin every day and also 3 days before the appointment make a soft scrub all over the face so you remove dead cells and the healing procedure will go more smoothly. Don’t drink alcohol 24hrs before and after the appointment because this can effect a lot! You can feel skin more sensitive during the treatment and also leaking plasma may wash out the color.
Fourth, avoid sun exposure and excessive sweating immediately following the procedure. After the procedure, the skin is sensitive and needs special care so don’t expose your face to the sun, remember about your sunglasses and hat. A great option is to have spf50 sunblock stick with you when is hot so you can stay outside and keep permanent makeup safe.
Fifth, be patient – it can take up to four weeks for the full effect of the semi permanent makeup to show. Don’t remove the scabs and peel off the skin. Just keep it clean by padding it with a moistened cotton swab four times a day for the first week. Make sure that you don’t cover it with foundation or any cosmetic makeup because this can affect the final color.
Finally, enjoy your new look!
Cheers!
